How do I know which type of window I need?
The type of window you choose for your house depends largely on your personal preference and desire as well as the architecture of your home. A large factor in determining which type of window you need will be what the design of your home calls for.

Should I replace the whole window or can I just replace the part that is broken?
This depends on which parts of your window are broken, if specific parts are available and the age of your window. Minor parts can often be replaced whereas major components (such as the frame and sash) often need full or sash replacement.

I would like to add more windows to my room. Is this possible?
As long as there is room for structural considerations, we can add windows where none now exist.

I feel cold air coming in through my windows but can't pinpoint where it's coming from. What do you recommend I do?
Cold air can simply be coming through deteriorating or missing weather stripping or through ineffective insulation. An incomplete seal around the frame or an inconsistent fit around the frame could also cause the cold air. Call us to schedule a consultation—we'll help you find the root of the problem.

I live in an older home and I am struggling to keep the house warm—how do I tell if my windows are rotting?
Older homes often have drafty, old windows. Air can pass through deteriorated glazing, around poorly sealed sash and between the window frame, siding and rough framing. If your windows are having trouble holding paint or if the surface of the wood is soft, you could have window rot. Left alone, a rotting window can lead to rotten framing, siding and mold issues. Call us to schedule a consultation—we'll help you find the root of the problem!

Do you offer staining and painting?
Yes! We have the resources to finish your windows and doors prior to installation or after installation. With pre-finishing, we often have our finishers visit after installation for additional touch-ups.

Do you work through the winter months?
Yes! We closely monitor weather forecasts and time installation for the best weather. The key to winter installation is scheduling the installation so that the window or door opening is open for the least amount of time.

Do we need to be home during installation?
No, however, your comfort level is most important to us.
